Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is a therapy approach shown to assist people with Depression.

As Russ Harris says in his book ‘The Confidence gap’ (2010), “negative thoughts only become problematic if we get all caught up in them, give them all our attention and treat them as gospel truth, allow them to control us or get into a fight with them.”

If you want to learn another way of managing these negative thoughts, try this book or any work from Dr Russ Harris (author of ‘The Happiness trap’).
