Kids and lockdown.....

How do we manage having kids at home during lockdowns? Good question. The biggest thing I remind my clients is that we are not their schoolteachers, so we are not supposed to or expected to teach our kids the curriculum they have been provided. Schools will provide all the information and support they need for our kids to engage in learning.

All we can do as parents is provide a safe and happy work space for our kids, emotionally be there for our kids, give them help (when we can), ask their teacher for help.

And please be gentle on yourself. 💜

I am not a Child Psychologist, so some great ideas and more expert advice can be found on Michael Grose’s website: https://www.parentingideas.com.au
