Here's a lovely reminder of the importance of good social support from the book "The Emotional Eater's Diet" by Pam Spurr. Chapter 7 says "Boost your mood for a better weight." "Friendships are absolutely key, whether you have a romantic partner or not, to maintaining a positive mood. Remember that friendships need freshening up...start nurturing them, let your friends know how much you value them and do new things together."
